Since midnight, law enforcement officers have been stopping buses that transported people to other cities for "merry-go-round voting." This was announced during a briefing by head of the National Police of Ukraine Ihor Klimenko.

"From 12 pm we stop buses that travel to regions and transport people between polling stations, casting multiple votes in a technique known as "carousel" voting. Such cases were observed in the Dnipropetrovsk region and Kyiv. Two buses from Luhansk region with people who came to vote were stopped in Kyiv," Ihor Klimenko said.

He added that such buses were also detected in the Odesa region. A Russian citizen was organizing "merry-go-round voting" there. People were offered $ 14 for voting. Later, the organizer was arrested.

The police recorded another falsification. In Kyiv, 300 people tried to get sick leaves, which show the impossibility to come to the polling stations. Thus, members of election commissions would have to come home to those "sick" in order for them to be able to vote.

"We promptly checked these facts, and we have a fairly serious collected evidence base that these people move on two legs normally, do not get sick and there was an attempt at manipulation and falsification. But the further qualifications will be determined by the investigation units,” Ihor Klimenko said.

As we reported earlier, today on October 25, Ukrainians elect mayors, heads of villages and towns, and lawmakers of local councils of all levels.

The first people willing to cast their votes are already coming to the polling stations.
