In Vinnytsia, a man pushed a volunteer who was conducting a "poll of Zelensky" near one of the polling stations and damaged a questionnaire box. Law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings. This was reported by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.
The police were able to identify the attacker and detained him. It turned out to be a 46-year-old local resident.
Law enforcers have opened criminal proceedings under the article "Hooliganism". The attacker faces up to five years of restriction of freedom.
Earlier, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said that polls that are conducted outside polling stations do not contradict the law of Ukraine. It is also noted that there is a certain procedure for conducting a survey: interviewers must work outside the polling station and not campaign for anyone. They must interview citizens after they vote in an election.
Local elections have begun in Ukraine. The stations were opened at 8:00, they will work until 20:00. From the very beginning of the work of the polling stations, people actively went to vote.
