More than 1,000 solemn events will be held in honor of the Independence Day in Ukraine

The Interior Ministry of Ukraine attempts to shift to the enhanced working regime since August 22 as the press service of the ministry reported.

"Due to the holding of the events dedicated to the 27th anniversary of the independence of Ukraine on August 24, the National Police, National Guard, the State Border Guard Service and the workers of the Emergency Service switch to the enhanced working regime," the message said.

According to the message, more than 1,000 solemn events will be held in honor of the Independence Day in Ukraine ad 700,000 people will participate in them.

"For the holding of the public events during the celebration of the State Flag Day and Independence Day of Ukraine, the Interior Ministry will attract all its detachments. The anti-conflict groups, dog handlers and the bomb squad, other detachments of the National Police and soldiers of the National Guard will work this day," Serhy Yaroby, the First Deputy Interior Minister said.

It is noted that the law enforcers constantly monitor the situation and take into account the possible calls, first of all, the terrorist threats.

During the celebration, the situation centers will be deployed for the monitoring of the situation, the operative information exchange between the Interior Ministry detachments also will be established.

Also, the law enforcers will cooperate with the Security Service and State Security Department during the planning of the security provision.

Moreover, the work at the checkpoints in Donetsk and Luhansk regions and highways will be enhanced as well as the security of the border.

As we reported Vyshyvanka Run will take place in Kyiv on the Day of Independence of Ukraine, on August 24. Apart from a 1 km charity run, the adults may choose to run the marathons for 5 and 10 km, while the children run 100 meters.
