Ukraine’s Honorary Consulate starts work in New Zealand

The Honorary Consulate of Ukraine has started its work in Auckland. It will cover the whole territory of New Zealand, as the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine reported.

“Ukraine continues to develop relations with other countries and extend the presence even at the most remote corners of the world. The activity of one more representative’s office of Ukraine abroad has officially started its work in New Zealand,” the message said.

It is noted that Ukraine’s Ambassador in Singapore Kateryna Zelenko during the virtual ceremony signed the Agreement on functions and duties of the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Auckland, New Zealand, with Oleksandr Kyrychuk.

The consular district of Honorary Consul in Auckland will cover the whole territory of New Zealand.

Oleksandr Kyrychuk was born in Odesa. Since 2002 he and his family live in New Zealand and conducts business there.

Earlier, Ukraine opened its first honorary consulate in Shemakha, Azerbaijan. Mehrali Gasimov, an entrepreneur and a graduate of the Kyiv Institute of International Relations, who has held various positions at international companies such as SAP and DeGolyer & MacNaughton Corporation, has been appointed Honorary Consul.
