Ministry of Health plans not to extend weekend quarantine in Ukraine

The Ministry of Health does not intend to extend the weekend quarantine in Ukraine. At the same time, the preliminary results of the weekend quarantine will become known this week. This was reported by the Minister of Health of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov.

"We have an incubation period of 14 to 21 days. In the middle of this week, we will be able to give preliminary results of the weekend quarantine. But let me remind you that the first weekend passed when we practically did not observe the weekend quarantine," he said.

According to the minister, a decreasing trends in disease incidence are being observed.

When asked whether the weekend quarantine will be extended, Stepanov replied that he didn’t think that they would submit such a proposal.

As we reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers has agreed on the date for the introduction of the total lockdown. 

The two-week option was rejected. The following dates were chosen - from December 23 to January 15. Details will be known this Wednesday.

This issue will also be discussed by the leadership of Ukraine.
