The Health Ministry of Ukraine offers to extend quarantine for another two months as Ukrinform reported citing Health Minister Viktor Lyashko.

“We have started the preparation for the new school year together with the Education Ministry; we prepare for what is going to happen to the education process; when the extra quarantine restrictions will be introduced. Today, the adaptive quarantine continues to act in Ukraine. Currently, it acts until the end of summer but preliminary, we discussed, taking into account the epidemic situation that we observe today in the European region. In Ukraine, it will be also necessary to extend it for at least two months so we will initiate it before the Cabinet of Ministers soon,” the minister said.

According to Lyashko, case, if the “green” level of the epidemic is observed in the territory of the country, the educational process will start without any quarantine restrictions only with the quarantine rules that act for all education facilities.

However, he noted that if some region passes to another level of epidemic safety, the educational process will continue but only in case of vaccination of 80% of the teaching staff in each education facility.

As we reported, Kyiv authorities prepare for the strict regime of quarantine three weeks in a row as the increase of incidence with Covid-19 is expected in autumn.

Besides, the Health Economics Center of the Kyiv School of Economics told when the next outbreak of coronavirus will take place in Ukraine.
