The government of Ukraine published the regulation, which bans the visit of the educational institutions and holding of mass events to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Regulation #211 dated March 11, 2020, published on the governmental portal.
“In accordance with the article 29 of the Law of Ukraine On Protection of the population from the infectious diseases to prevent the spread in the territory of Ukraine of coronavirus Covid-19 and considering the decision of the State Commission on technogeneous and ecological security and emergency dated March 10, 2020, the Cabinet of Ministers ordered to initiate the quarantine from March 12 until April 3, 2020,” the message said.
The regulation forbids:
- Attendance of education institutions;
- Holding of mass events with the participation of more than 200 people, excluding the events necessary for the provision of the bodies of the state power and bodies of local self-government.
Meanwhile, sports events may be held without an audience.
The government ordered the ministries, other central bodies of executive power, regional ad city state administration along with the bodies of the local self-government to provide the organization of the fulfillment and control over the observation of the demands of the regulation, temporary and permanent holding of preventive and anti-epidemic events, daily provision of the information about events on prevention of the spread of coronavirus infection to the Healthcare Ministry.
As we reported, the Kyiv state administration introduced a ban on holding mass events in the capital with the participation of more than 60 people until March 31 due to the spread of coronavirus.
