Ukraine’s government lifts ban for export of individual protective means

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine lifted the ban for export of masks and respirators as Deputy Minister for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture Taras Kachka reported on Facebook.

“The ban for export of the means of individual protection is lifted. It is the last ban for export that acted due to the coronavirus,” Kachka wrote.

It is reported that the Economy Ministry and Health Ministry came to the agreement that it is possible to depart from the monitoring of export. The government supported this decision. The term of the ban expired on August 1 and it was not extended.

As we reported, the Cabinet of Ministers might allow Ukrainian manufacturers of masks and other protective medical equipment to sell their products abroad, provided it is impossible to sell them in Ukraine but they still meet the requirements of other states.

On March 30, Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada introduced criminal liability for exporting (shipment) anti-epidemic goods across the customs border of Ukraine.
