The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended the adaptive quarantine and the emergency situation until December 31, 2021, as the government reported.
“Due to the deterioration of the epidemic situation, the government made a decision at the extraordinary meeting on the extension of the adaptive quarantine until December 31, 2021,” the message says.
On Tuesday, September 21, the state commission on technogenic and environmental safety and emergencies will consider the establishment of the “yellow” level of the epidemic danger in Ukraine from September 22.
“On Tuesday, the meeting of the State Commission on technogenic and environmental safety and emergencies, which will consider the establishment of the “yellow” epidemic level all over Ukraine from September 22,” the message says.
According to the Health Ministry, during the past week, the number of confirmed new cases of coronavirus infection has increased by 68%; hospitalizations – by 51%. The load on the health system is controlled yet; however, the beds at the intensive care units are occupied by 33% and beds with oxygen – by 29%.
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers changed the rules of quarantine in Ukraine. The decree will take effect seven days after the moment of release. The next restrictions act in the “yellow” zone, besides the wearing of facial masks and observation of the social distance:
- mass events with the participation of more than a person per four square meters;
- occupancy of the cinemas and other cultural establishments for over 50%;
- occupancy of gyms and fitness centers for over a person per 10 square meters;
- work of education facilities, where less than 80% of the employees have “yellow” or “green” Covid certificates.
These restrictions will not apply if more than 80% of the staff and 100% of visitors, other than those under the age of 18, have been vaccinated against Covid-19 with one or two doses and have presented a certificate.
