The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made a decision on the extension of the quarantine until May 11, as 112 Ukraine TV channel reported.
Besides, the government decided to mitigate the quarantine. The transportation of people who want to be donors of blood is allowed in Ukraine. Moreover, particular categories of employees will be allowed to work without passing the obligatory practical examination, which took place during the quarantine.
“We talk about particular categories of workers who are obliged to pass the medical examination but, unfortunately, in the terms of the quarantine, they are not able to do it, so we allow them to do it later,” Healthcare Minister Maksym Stepanov said.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal stated that until May 11, it is necessary to increase the number of tests for coronavirus in Ukraine, improve the provision of the hospital and impose electronic control of self-isolation instead of obligatory observation. The control over people who should stay in self-isolation will be held through the Diya application.
In case of the improvement of the situation with coronavirus in Ukraine, on May 11, the government will be able to make a decision on the opening of parks, gardens, and outlets, which sell non-food products.
Earlier, Ukraine’s PM Denys Shmygal stated that two peaks of the coronavirus infection are expected in Ukraine.
