The Cabinet of Ministers has extended the emergency situation in Ukraine until December 31, 2020. The relevant decision was made today during the meeting of the government.
“Due to the extension of the quarantine, the necessity appeared to extend for the united state system of civilian protection in the whole territory of Ukraine of the emergency situation until December 31, 2020,” the message said.
The explanatory note stated that due to the significant deterioration of the epidemiological situation tied with the spread of Covid-19 in Ukraine, the regulation of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated October 13, 2020, the quarantine is extended until December 31, 2020.
Initially, the emergency regime was introduced in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
As of October 27, none region of Ukraine is ready for mitigation of quarantine. In all regions, the number of new cases of infection makes over 40 per 100,000 of the population during the past 14 days.
35,450 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the Ukrainian capital over 24 hours. 15 people passed away during this period; 221 people recovered. 12,146 citizens of Kyiv have overcome the disease since the pandemic began.
