Ukraine’s government dismisses Head of State Migration Service Maksym Sokolyuk

The Cabinet of Ministers has dismissed Maksym Sokolyuk from the post of the Head of the State Migration Service. The proper decision was made during the governmental meeting as MP Oleksiy Honcharenko reported on Telegram.

Meanwhile, the government has appointed Natalya Naumenko as the acting Head of the State Migration Service.

Besides, the Cabinet of Ministers has dismissed:

  • Vasyl M. Bodnar from the post of the deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine;
  • Oleksiy S. Kurakov from the post of the deputy Energy Minister of Ukraine;
  • Kostyantyn Y. Hura from the post of the first deputy chair of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine;
  • Yuriy A. Shafarenko from the post of the deputy chair of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine.

Moreover, the government has chosen the winners of the competition for positions at the state service of category A. particularly, Anatoly V. Ivankevych was appointed as the deputy chair of the State Service of Maritime and River Transport of Ukraine. Viktor M. Vishnyov became the deputy chair of the State Service of Maritime and River Transport of Ukraine on digital development, digital transformation and digitalization.

As we reported, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine can dismiss three ministers during the next months. According to the preliminary information, Defense Minister Andriy Taran, Social Policy Minister Maryna Lazebna and Vice PM, Minister for Strategic Industries Oleh Urusky can be dismissed.
