The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is considering the option of adopting a resolution to abolish the weekend quarantine.This was announced by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak on his Telegram-channel.

Today at 10 a.m. an online meeting of heads of factions took place, at which the agenda of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for the week was considered.

"We are considering the option to adopt a decree on the abolition of weekend quarantine," Zheleznyak said.

Zheleznyak also noted that it is likely that due to the situation with sick MPs, part of the week's plenary session may be postponed.

"But there is no final decision and there will not be until Monday. So far, everyone is set to work," MP Zheleznyak added.

As we reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers made a decision to introduce the weekend quarantine all across the country.

The strict quarantine will act from 00:00 a.m. Saturday until 00:00 a.m. Monday. On the weekend, only objects of the critical infrastructure, particularly, groceries, drug stores and transport will work in the country.

The work of shopping malls, sport centers, fitness centers, swimming polls, theaters and holding of the mass events is banned.

Besides, the hosting of people in restaurants, cafes and entertainment facilities is banned.
