Ukraine’s Government approved the agreement of mutual cancellation of visa demands and crossing of Ukrainian-Georgian border with ID cards. The Cabinet of Ministers made this decision at the regular session on Wednesday, as 112.ua reported.
The document was signed on October 5, 2018.
The agreement provides that Ukrainians can travel to Georgia using ID cards as internal passports, which feature non-contact electronic media.
Earlier, the Georgian Parliament announced the vote of confidence to the new government lead by Mamuka Bakhtadze. The new government consists of ten ministries instead of the former 13, and the minister’s office on reconciliation and civil equality.
After many days of debates and hearings in the parliamentary factions, the Cabinet of Ministers was approved.
On September 19, Ukraine’s Government approved the draft agreement on travels with internal passports (ID cards) for the citizens of both states.
