Ukraine's Government appeals court's decision on Acting Healthcare Minister Suprun

Ukraine’s Government appealed the decision of Kyiv District Administrative Court to suspend Ulyana Suprun from the post of Ukraine’s Acting Health Minister, as the press office of the court reported.

“Kyiv District Administrative Court received an application from the representative of Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers on the cancelation of the restrictive measures of the lawsuit filed by Igor Mosiychuk (MP from Radical Party of Lyashko; he initiated the case - ed.) against Ukraine’s Acting Minister of Health Ulyana Suprun concerning her suspension from this position. The court will consider the appeal on February 11, 2019,” the message says.

As we reported, Suprun's role as acting health minister was questioned by MP from the Radical Party of Lyashko Ihor Mosiychuk. The court explained that such a decision was made as Suprun has dual citizenship. Apart from the Ukrainian one, she also has a U.S. passport. 

The government of Ukraine expressed the support of Suprun, as well as the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, did.
