The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allowed the restaurants and cafes to work until 07:00 a.m. on New Year's Eve as the governmental portal reported.
“To amend paragraph 2 of the regulation of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 9, 2020, #1236 ‘On the introduction of quarantine and restrictive epidemic control activities to prevent the spread in the territory of Ukraine of the acute respiratory Covid-19 disease caused by SARS-CoV-2’ replacing in subparagraph 12 the figures and words ‘until 01:00 a.m. with figures and words ‘until 07:00 a.m.,” the message said.
As we reported, on December 19, the quarantine measures were enhanced in Ukraine. Particularly, the work schedule of catering establishments is limited - from 23:00 to 7:00 (except for delivery and takeaway orders), with the settlement operations stopped after 22:00, and on the night from 31.12 to 01.01 - after 01:00.
Earlier, the Ukrainian government made a decision to introduce the boosted lockdown restrictions starting from January 8 to January 24.
The restrictions include the ban on the work of cafes, restaurants, bars (except for delivery and takeaway orders); cinemas, theaters; fitness clubs, gyms, swimming pools; shopping and entertainment centers (trade of food, medicines, veterinary drugs, personal hygiene products, and household chemicals will be allowed); ban on the trade of non-food products; ban on any entertainment, sports or cultural events.
