Ukraine’s Government adopted a decree on the creation of State Tax and State Customs services, as the press office of the Finance Ministry reported.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the decree on the reorganization of the State Fiscal Service, dividing it into the State Tax and the State Customs services.
The draft decision provides the division of State Fiscal Service into State Tax Service (which will include tax police units) and State Customs Service as separate central bodies of executive authority.
The Government will direct and coordinate the operation of these services through the Finance Minister.
There will be a commission to monitor the reorganization of the State Fiscal Service, led by Deputy Finance Minister Sergiy Verlanov.
The decree regards the recommendations of the IMF and tasks set by the medium-term Plan of the Government’s priority actions till 2020.
Earlier, President Poroshenko signed the law on budget formation (No. 9260) on the amendments to the Tax Code.
