Ukraine’s General Staff completes testing of Kub, Tor air defense systems

The testing of the modernized air defense systems “Kub”, “Tor” is coming to the end in Ukraine as Viktor Muzhenko, the Head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

According to him, the mentioned systems will be passed to the detachments of the anti-aircraft defense of the Ground Forces of Ukraine.

“It will allow us to increase the capacity of the anti-aircraft troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the anti-aircraft defense of the state in general,” Muzhenko is sure.

Air defense systems “Kub” and “Tor” were developed in Soviet Union time.

As we reported, Kharkiv tank factory has upgraded over a hundred of T-64 main battle tanks, made in 2017. The number of upgraded T-64s is quite enough to re-arm a tank brigade. The Kharkiv-based company continues to modernize the basic models of T-64s to this new level.

Besides, Kyiv Armored Vehicle Plant which joint the state company “Ukroboronprom” has manufactured the pilot hull of the armored personnel carrier 3DA (APC-3DA) made of the armored steel released by one of the NATO countries.
