Ukraine’s export to Austria increased by 48%, - Poroshenko

Ukraine’s export to Austria increased by 48%. Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine, said it at the briefing with Alexander Van der Bellen, Austria's President, broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.

“Economic indicators support the base of our dialogue. The trade circulation between our countries increased by 18,5% in 2017 and reached $1,2 billion. At the same time, Ukrainian export to Austria increased by 48%. It is a result of introduction of a profound and broad free-trade zone between Ukraine and the EU, as earlier Ukraine signed an Agreement of Association with the EU,” Poroshenko said.

The President added that 40 Austrian enterprisers have a direct interest in widely different manufacturing sectors in Ukraine – from pharmacy to agriculture and processing industry.

“Austrian business feels comfortable in Ukraine, as to sociological surveys, investors and enterprisers,” Poroshenko noted.

As it was reported earlier, Ukraine filled 100% quota of honey export to the EU this year.
