State Emergency Service of Ukraine sent an An-32P firefighting plane to Georgia to extinguish a fire in the mountainous area, according to the website of the Emergency Service.
"An-32P firefigter of the State Emergency Service flew to the Abastumani (Georgia) area at 9:06 on Wednesday to extinguish forest fires in the mountainous areas," the report said.
It is noted that Ukraine assists Georgia in fire extinguishing works according to instructions of the President Petro Poroshenko.
As it was reported earlier Ukraine sent a firefighting aircraft to put out fire in Montenegro. Thousands of people were evacuated due to forest fires in Montenegro and Croatia.
