Ukraine’s Embassy to U.S. asks Amazon, eBay to withdraw symbols of Donbas militants from sale

The Embassy of Ukraine to the U.S. asked Amazon and eBay to withdraw the symbols of the terrorist organizations “Donetsk People’s Republic” (DPR) and “Luhansk People’s Republic” (LPR) from the online sale as its press service reported on Facebook.

It is reported that the embassy officially appealed to founder of Amazon Jeff Bezos with the urge to remove the goods with the symbols of the terrorist organization “DPR” from amazon.com and to leadership of eBay Inc. on the assumption of the same measure against the products of the symbols of the so-called “LPR” and “DPR.”

The Embassy also informed the administration of the president of the U.S., leadership of the U.S. State Department, Department of Commerce, and Department of Treasury of the U.S.

Earlier the Members of the European Parliament called on Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos to stop the sale of goods with Soviet symbols.

Besides, the Lithuanian activists demand to take the goods with Soviet symbols off Amazon. Recently, a similar incident took place. World’s largest chain store Walmart suspended selling clothes with Soviet symbols under the request of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry.
