Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Gyunduz Mamedov wrote a letter of resignation, as he posted on Twitter.

"I wrote a letter of resignation. Thanks to everyone who was around in these difficult last six years and did impossible things: opposed the armed aggression of the Russian Federation and believed in a juvenile court implementing this project. To be continued. I serve the Ukrainian people," the message says.

On July 7, it became known that the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) opened proceedings on the possible criminal offense by Deputy Prosecutor General Gyunduz Mamedov.

As it was reported earlier, Mamedov supervised war crimes and the occupied territories issues since 2016: firstly, at Prosecutor's Office of Crimea, and then at Prosecutor General's Office. In October 2019, he became Deputy Prosecutor General.
