The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine regards information about the detained in Sevastopol "spy", who allegedly performed the task of the General Intelligence Department as another provocation. This was announced by the Spokesman of the Defense Ministry Andriy Lysenko in his commentary for Interfax-Ukraine.

“Russian FSB once again resorted to provocations using the database located in the annexed Crimea. It is about the personal affairs of former military servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, or the Black Sea Fleet. This time the victim of the provocation is the former Russian Black Sea Fleet military officer. We actually do not know anything about this man, “Lysenko said.

"Such case about discovery of so-called spies, saboteurs that allegedly belong to the Chief Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Defense, will appear again because around 10 thousand of personal affairs of former officers remain on the peninsula. They are former military people who are now retired and do not have anything to do with military service, "Lysenko added.

"We do not comment ordinary fakes,” the Security Service of Ukraine said in response to this information.

Earlier it was reported that the former Black Sea Fleet officer who allegedly worked for Ukrainian intelligence arrested in Russia. The captain of the second rank in retirement was gathering information on Black Sea Fleet activities, according to FSB.
