The working visit of Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak to Italy began on Tuesday, April 18. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

“In the frameworks of the visit, the head of the defense department will meet with the Minister of Defense of the Italian Republic, Mrs. Roberta Pinotti, and the head of the General Defense Staff of the Italian Republic, General of the Army Claudio Graziano,” the press service reported.

Also, during the visit, Poltorak is scheduled to meet with President of the Parliamentary Assembly of NATO Paolo Alli, activists of the Ukrainian community in Italy, he will visit wounded soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces who are being treated in the Italian military hospital ‘Celio’.

Earlier it was reported that Italy allocated 1 mln euros to support victims of Donbas hostilities. In particular, 700 thousand euros are provided for the distribution of food rations and 300 thousand euros - for humanitarian demining project.
