Stepan Poltorak, Ukraine’s Defence Minister, and the representatives of the Canadian defense industry discussed the perspectives of extension of cooperation between the two countries. The press-service of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine after the meeting of Ukrainian Defense Minister with representatives of the Canadian defence industry came to an end.
Cameron McKenzie, the Vice-President of the Canadian Commercial Corporation, greeted Ukrainian delegation and noted that he is interested in development of cooperation with Ukraine.
He also stated that the countries face new possibilities after signing the Canada-Ukraine Defence Cooperation Arrangement, and that the cooperation may be expanded into the wider range of issues.
Stepan Poltorak in his turn noted that Ukraine is interested in extending cooperation in all spheres within practical implementation of the processes of the defense character.
“Taking into account the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and capacity of the Ukraine’s defense industry, we see perspectives in cooperation in aviation, ammunition manufacturing for small arms and artillery systems, production of armoured vehicles, radioelectronics, control and communication systems,” said Poltorak.
