The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine has extended the sanctions introduced in 2018 against some individuals and legal entities. This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov during a briefing.

"On June 21, 2018, personal sanctions were adopted against some individuals and legal entities, enacted by Decree No. 176 of 2018. The decree provided for the imposition of sanctions for three years. On June 21, these sanctions expire. These are exclusively legal entities and individuals," he said.

According to Danilov, the sanctions have been extended against all entities that are available in the registers and "are still alive."

"Because some of the people who were under sanctions died," the NSDC secretary added.

As we reported earlier, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) introduced the full package of sanctions against businessmen Dmytro Firtash and Pavlo Fuks as NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov reported during the briefing on June 18.

“Today, the sanctions were introduced against Dmytro V. Firtash, the full set that our country can apply against this person,” Danilov stated.
