Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers terminates agreement with Russia on exchange of legal information

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has terminated the agreement with Russia on the exchange of the legal information, as 112.ua reported.

The document was signed and came into force on April 18, 1995.

The agreement provided that each of sides is obliged to provide another side the legal information by electronic filing of the documents, observing the established international standards of the message switching system and packages of open systems or by the provision of the official texts of the legal acts in hard copy to another side.

Moreover, it was noted that the information received by one of the sides during the cooperation can be passed to the third party if the side that passed this information agreed on it.

The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine is ordered to inform Russia’s government about the termination of this document.

Earlier the law on the termination of the Russian–Ukrainian Friendship Treaty was officially published in Ukraine’s parliamentary newspaper 'Holos Ukrainy'. It took place on December 12.

On December 10, President Petro Poroshenko signed the law on the termination of Russian-Ukrainian Friendship Treaty from April 1, 2019.
