Today’s authority in Ukraine is trying to "flirt "with the representatives of radical organizations. Therefore, it does not control the order in the country, as Viktor Medcedchuk, the Head of the Political Council of “Opposition Platform – For Life” said on air of 112 Ukraine.
As he put it, radicalism appeared in Ukraine after 2014.
“Unfortunately, the radicalism of certain national democrats and other forces existed over all these years. This is imperceptions of different perspectives, this is a fight against dissidence. Moreover, not only radical forces act like this, authorities also do, they were trying and continue trying to please radical elements in the country” he said.
At the same time, he stressed that the upcoming elections have special influence on the current Ukrainian radicalism.
“And the election campaign – there is no other way, as radicalism is evidence of the fact that these forces claim for their position to be raised on invincibility level, and their position and perception got the result during both presidential and parliamentary elections. So, radicalism, its course and this is an active phase, which appeared not today, but in 2014, which led to criminal chaos, legal nihilism, increase of corruption, economic crisis, situation with implementation of constitutional rights and freedoms of the citizens – these all are links in one chain,” the politician believes.
“The authorities are trying to “flirt” with radicals, the authorities do not fulfill their functional constitutional responsibilities on maintaining order in the country, this is what I have mentioned multiple times. Unfortunately, our current authorities lost the monopoly on the use of force. The authorities which lose the monopoly on the use of force in the country is no longer in control, as this is one of the most important elements specific to the authorities,” he explained.
