Ukraine withdraws from another CIS agreement

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill "On withdrawal from Some International Treaties of Ukraine Concluded within the Commonwealth of Independent States." The relevant decision was made during a government meeting.

It is an agreement that determines the origin of goods of developing countries in the provision of tariff preferences under the Generalized System of Preferences.

It is noted that this agreement was concluded in order to create a single international legal framework within the CIS on determining the origin of goods of developing countries, the rules for determining such goods in the provision of tariff preferences under the Generalized System of Preferences.

The government added that Ukraine's withdrawal from the Agreement will not affect the interests of Ukrainian citizens.

Earlier, on March 3 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the bill on withdrawal of Ukraine from the agreement on cooperation in development and use of systems of cellular mobile communication.

In addition, the draft law on Ukraine's withdrawal from the CIS agreement on intergovernmental courier relations was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on December 28.
