Ukraine’s Government supported withdrawal from the agreement on the general conditions of delivery of goods between the organizations of member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The relevant decision was made at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers on January 30, as UNN reports.
The Government supported the initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development and decided to withdraw from the agreements “On general conditions of delivery of goods between the organizations of member states of Commonwealth of Independent States.”
It was noted that this agreement of 1992 defined the principles of conclusion, amendments, and termination of the interstate trade agreements between the member states of CIS, including the amounts, limits, deadlines of the delivery of goods, and attached specific suppliers to specific consumers.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development, this agreement contains old settlements of a planned economy, which is unacceptable and does not comply with the modern principles of the market economy in Ukraine. Besides, actual interstate trade and economic agreements between CIS member states do not exist now.
According to the decision of the Government, Ukraine’s Internal Ministry will inform CIS executive committee about Ukraine’s withdrawal from the agreement.
