Three semi-finals will take place as a part of the selection

Name of the artist who will represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in May will become known on February 25. This is stated on the official website of the Ukrainian selection on Facebook.

According to the organizers of the national selection, 21 performers will fight for the right to represent Ukraine at the contest. "Music producer Konstantin Meladze together with the Eurovision 2017 national selection team drew lots to determine the order of performances of semifinalists in the competition. The competition will be divided on three semi-finals, eight performers in each,” the statement said.

On February 4, bands like SKAY, Roma Veremeichik and LUMIERE group, Monochromea, Laliko, Flip Back, MamaRika, TAYANNA and Arsen Mirzoyan will present its compositions.

LETAY, Mila Nitich, KUZNETSOV, AGHIAZMA, DETACH, ROZHDEN, Panivalkova and ILLARIA will perform on February 11.

Kuzma Skryabin’s group Singing pants, O.Torvald, Anastasia Prudius, Vitaly Kozlovsky, KADNAY, MELOVIN, Green Grey and Vivienne Mort will appear on stage on February 18.

"Artist name, which will represent Ukraine at Eurovision-2017 in May will be revealed in the final of the national selection on February 25,” the organizers of the Ukrainian selection noted.

They also claim that the voting system remains the same: jury evaluates the participants, the audience votes by SMS, after which the scores of the judges and the audience are summed up.

Konstantin Meladze, Jamala and Andriy Danylko (Verka Serduchka) will be judging the participants, while Serhiy Prytula is to host the show.
