Ukraine wants to proceed to the next level of partnership with the EU in 2017. Ukraine’s First Vice Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv said this during the joint press conference with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini in Brussels.
"The Government of Ukraine is committed to make next 2017 year the year of proceeding to the next level of our partnership for the benefit of both: Ukraine and Europe" Kubiv said.
He also noted that high appreciation of reforms in Ukraine by the EU is a real extension of the roadmap between Ukraine and the EU.
"I thank the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini for her high evaluation. I’m thankful to the EU team, who worked with us and clearly assessed today the activities and prospects that we have to receive. I hope that the priorities of ratings made on today's meeting are a real extension of a roadmap between Ukraine and the EU on reforms. I want to say that Ukraine needs reforms, changes are needed in Ukraine, " Kubiv added.
Earlier it was reported that reforms in Ukraine are moving in the right direction, but they need to be accelerated. This was stated by the former Finance Minister of Slovakia, co-chairman of the Strategic Advisors Group to support reforms in Ukraine Ivan Miklos.
