Ukraine’s Defence Ministry signed a memorandum of understanding with Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency of the U.S., as the press office of Ukraine’s Embassy to the U.S. reported.

“The memorandum is a result of a two-year work of Ukraine’s Embassy with the U.S. and its American partners on preparing required legal framework, which provides search on the territory of Ukraine and the return of dead and missing American soldiers during Second World War to the U.S.,” the message reads.

It was also noted that according to the memorandum, the parties will be exchanging the features of search of the soldiers, prisoners or missing as a result of Russian aggression against Ukraine.

This was the third memorandum Ukraine and the U.S. had signed on such issue. Earlier, Ministry for Veterans Affairs and Ukraine’s Security Service concluded memorandums.
