The governments of Ukraine and the U.S. are agreeing on the conditions of supply of Javelin anti-tank weapon launchers, as William Taylor, Charge d-affaires a.i. the U.S. in Ukraine, said, Ukrainian News reported.
“Yes. We are ready to sell this weapon to Ukraine. Two governments are agreeing on the conditions,” Taylor is cited.
Answering the question on America’s reaction to Zelensky’s call to the Russian leader Vladimir Putin after four Ukrainian soldiers died in Donbas, Taylor said it was a brave step.
“This step showed the moral advantage of Ukraine in this war. Ukraine is trying to stop war. We want Russia to do the same,” he noted.
According to Taylor, if Ukrainian side shot back in Pavlopil, civilians would die, not militants.
“I think Ukraine showed that it wants to end for on its conditions,” Taylor said.
The Ambassador is against Ukraine’s withdrawal from Minsk talks after the militants violated ceasefire.
“Ukraine, Minsk group, the U.S. want to find a way to resolve war on conditions favorable for Ukraine. It is necessary to continue talks in Minsk and other places,” he noted.
