According to her, the training will be held focusing on the clinical case management of Covid-19 cases. The Health Ministry will select regional coordinators and trainers and develop an education program. It is noted that the training will be held in a few stages.
“During the first stage, during the first three months, it is planned to cover about 75% of doctors of public establishments of the primary healthcare. It is planned to hold training on five topics: prevention of Covid-19 spread, case management in accordance with the world standards and emphasis on the ambulatory medical care, rules of consulting of the patients with Covid-19 and story for hospitalization, peculiarities of the infection control at the first level provision of help, prevention of professional burnout. The peculiarities of case management of patients with Covid-19 who have concurrent conditions,” Shatalova said.
During the second stage – from 4th up to 8th month – it is planned to hold online training to achieve skills for making a clinical decisions during the Covid-19 case. The topics for education: treatment of Covid-19 for particular categories of population: children, pregnant, old people, oxygen therapy during the coronavirus, rehabilitation and so on. Doctors who successfully pass training will get relevant certificates.
Shatalova noted that the project became possible due to the agreement signed between the Health Ministry and UNICEF on the international technical aid.
Earlier, the Health Ministry predicts that the fourth wave of coronavirus infection may start in Ukraine soon.
