Ukraine emphasized the inadmissibility of the issuance of the Russian passports to the citizens of occupied Donbas during the session of the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk as Darka Olifer, the Spokesperson of Ukraine’s Representative Leonid Kuchma, reported on Facebook.

“Separately, the Ukrainian side underlined the inadmissibility of the issuance of the passports of the Russian Federation to the citizens of occupied areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Such actions block Minsk process and threaten the further process of peaceful settlement,” Olifer wrote.

Earlier Kuchma stated that Kyiv would discuss the reconsideration of the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) on trade restrictions against areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions uncontrolled by Ukraine, only after return of the assets situated there to the Ukrainian legal field.
