The Embassy of Ukraine is preparing and will soon send a note to the Polish Foreign Ministry on the death in Wroclaw of 25-year-old Ukrainian Dmytro Nykyforenko after his detention by the police. This was announced by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland Andriy Deshchytsia, Ukrinform reports.
“We are preparing and in the near future will send a note asking for an impartial and prompt investigation, bringing those involved to justice and informing the Ukrainian side about this incident,” Deshchytsia said.
According to him, the case on the investigation of the death of a 25-year-old Ukrainian has been under the control of Ukrainian diplomatic bodies , including the Consulate General of Ukraine in Krakow, since the beginning of August.
Earlier, 25-year-old Ukrainian Dmytro Nykyforenko died in Wroclaw, Poland, after being detained by police and beaten severely.
It is known that the Ukrainian was returning home by bus after drinking alcohol with colleagues. According to one version, he fell asleep on the bus, according to another - behaved strangely and hit his head on the window.
The bus driver called an ambulance, and she called a police patrol. 1.5 ppm of alcohol was found in Nykyforenko’s blood.
Police allege that the man was aggressive towards the police officer and therefore the police used gas and handcuffs on him.
