Ukraine should receive the first batches of vaccine against coronavirus this February. This was reported by Ukraine's Health Minister Maksym Stepanov.

"We expect the first deliveries of vaccine for mass vaccination in February. We are fully prepared for this," the head of the Ministry of Health said.

According to him, Ukraine has signed the first contract for the supply of 1.9 million doses of coronavirus vaccine with the Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinovac Biotech, one of the largest vaccine manufacturers in the world.

In addition, the government is in talks with other companies, which are almost over. At the moment, the technical process of agreeing the contract itself is ongoing.

Earlier, the Strana newspaper reported that Ukrainian top officials, politicians and businessmen are already vaccinated in Kyiv with the coronavirus vaccine, which was illegally imported into Ukraine.

It was reported that the vaccination is classified on the basis of one of the private clinics in Kyiv. The cost of illegal vaccination against coronavirus ranges from 1 to 3 thousand euros.

In this regard, President Volodymyr Zelensky appealed to the Security Service of Ukraine with a request to check information about the illegal importation of the coronavirus vaccine into the country.
