Another 18.8 million doses of coronavirus vaccines will be delivered to Ukraine by the end of the year. In particular, 13.4 million doses of Comirnaty/Pfizer vaccine will be delivered to the country, another 5.4 million doses of vaccines will arrive under the global COVAX initiative as Health Minister Viktor Lyashko reported during the briefing.
"According to the signed contracts for the purchase of vaccines by the end of 2021, Ukraine will receive another 13.4 million doses of the Comirnaty/Pfizer vaccine. Besides, vaccine supply from the global COVAX initiative in the amount of 5.4 million is confirmed for 2021. Thus, the total number of vaccine doses expected in Ukraine until the end of 2021 is 18.8 million," Lyashko said.
The minister also said that there are over nine million doses of coronavirus vaccines at vaccination points today.
Moreover, he said that in Ukraine, 30% of the adult population received at least one coronavirus vaccine.
As we reported, 291,293 people were vaccinated in Ukraine on October 26. 212,013 people received one dose; while 79,280 were fully immunized.
