In the nearest future, 1.23 million doses of the CoronaVac vaccine and 256 thousand doses of Pfizer-BioNTech will arrive in Ukraine. This was announced by Ukrainian Minister of Healthcare Viktor Lyashko, as the press service of the President's Office reports.
"Another 500,000 doses of CoronaVac vaccine have arrived in Ukraine and will soon be distributed to regions, including the most remote villages, in order to vaccinate as many people as possible. In the near future, we expect a total of 1.23 million doses of CoronaVac and 256 thousand doses of Pfizer-BioNTech," the message told.
It is worth mentioning that according to Lyashko, almost 3.5 million vaccines against Covid-19 have already been given to Ukraine. More than 2 million Ukrainians received the first dose and more than 1 million completed vaccinations.
Last week, 563,000 vaccinations were given, which is the largest number within a week since the start of the vaccination campaign.
As it was reported earlier on July 12, the Pfizer vaccine is already available to all Ukrainians in the mass vaccination centers. However, there is a priority for elderly people and people with concomitant diseases. It should be noted that during the day of July 11, 2021, Ukraine vaccinated 26,356 citizens. Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 2,311,692 people have been vaccinated, of which 2,311,690 have received a single dose, 1,177,642 have been fully immunized and received two doses. A total of 3,489,332 vaccinations have been done.
