The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will introduce the list of the legal entities against which the sanctions for the illegal construction of the Kerch Strait Bridge should be imposed for the consideration of the National Security and Defense Council as the press service of the Ministry of Temporarily Occupied Territories and IDPs reported.
“The ministry initiated the issue of the imposing of the sanctions against 19 legal entities (private companies and companies of the federal property of Russia, federal entities of Russia), which are the directors or founders of the legal entities involved in the process of the illegal construction of the Kerch Strait Bridge with the consideration of the present information and prepared the proper parcel of the documents,” the message said.
Particularly, the companies “Stroigazmontazh” (executor on the designing and construction), its affiliated company “SGM – Most” (Moscow), the chief designer of the project “Institute Giprobudmist – Sankt Peterburg” (St. Petersburg), subcontractors “Mostotrest” (Moscow), “Portgidrobut” (Novorossiysk) and so on.
It is noted that the sanction will make the economic relations with Ukraine impossible and they allow to restrict or stop the economic relations with the countries of the EU and the U.S.
Earlier the EU imposed the sanctions against the companies that participated in the construction of the Kerch Strait Bridge in annexed Crimea.
Two companies of the Russian businessman Arkady Rotenberg – PJSC Mostotrest and Stroygazmontazh Corporation (SGM Group) – are put under EU sanctions. Both companies have already been included into the U.S. sanction list.
Apart from that, AO “Institute Giprostroymost — Saint-Petersburg”, JSC Zaliv Shipyard, Stroygazmontazh Most, CJSC VAD are also added into the list of entities.
As it was reported earlier, President of Russia Vladimir Putin has opened a vehicle part of the bridge over the Kerch Strait that unites annexed Crimea and Krasnodar Krai. Putin at the wheel of Kamaz headed the convoy of the vehicles and cargo equipment that made the first trip over the bridge. The automobile traffic over the bridge was opened prematurely at 5:30 am, on May 16 (Moscow time).
