The document was signed by Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov and Airbus Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Kimon Sotiropoulos.
"The memorandum enshrines the common goal of Ukraine and France - development and cooperation in the field of aviation," the statement reads.
"The document defines the algorithm for further cooperation of the parties in the framework of creating a national air carrier, including, but not limited to, the purchase of aircraft," the message says.
According to Sotiropoulos, Ukraine has an extremely great potential for tourism, business and any new opportunities, there is great potential for creating a new carrier. Creating a national airline from scratch will allow to immediately invest in more advanced technologies.
Kubrakov added that the air transportation market in Ukraine is growing, and the new airline will carefully compete with private carriers.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky supported the creation of the powerful state airline with An- planes in Ukraine.
Also, Deputy Chair of the Office of President Kyrylo Tymoshenko said that the national airline will be launched in the near future.
