The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed Decree №462/2021, which established the Council for Youth Affairs.

It is noted that it will function as an advisory body to the head of state.

“The Council is established to promote the development of youth potential, self-realization and active participation in public life and decision-making on youth policy. It is expected that among the tasks of the Council will be to promote the development of youth infrastructure,” the statement reads.

Within a month, proposals on the staff of the Council should be submitted to Zelensky for consideration.

“It is planned to involve leaders of youth movements and organizations, athletes, founders of youth social initiatives, and cultural figures in this body,” the Office of the President added.

As it was reported earlier, Zelensky signed the decree by which introduced in Ukraine a new holiday, Day of the Ukrainian statehood. It will be celebrated on the Day of Baptism of Kyivan Rus.
