The meeting of the Ukrainian delegation headed by Ihor Nasalyk, the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine and Lars Lilleholt, the acting Minister of Energy, Utilities and Climate took place in Denmark. The press service of the Ukrainian State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Saving reported this.
'Nasalik assured that Ukraine sees a reliable and strategic partner in Denmark as this country has reached the goals of its National Action Plan for Restored Energy up to 2020 in 2015, particularly, 30% of the clean energy in the final energy consumption. Denmark plans to get 50% of the green energy up to 2030', the message said.
Also, all members of the meeting noted the significant role of the Ukrainian-Danish Energy Center (UDEC) in the establishment of the bilateral relation and experience exchange.
'The activation of the cooperation with the Danish Investment Fund is in our field of vision, by the way, it has provided the financing for the installment of the wind farm 'Stary Sambor-2' with the capacity of 20,7 MWt in Lviv region last year', Nasalyk said.
Earlier we reported that Ukraine and the Netherlands have signed the Memorandum on mutual understanding in the renewable energy.
It is expected that Ukraine and the Netherlands will cooperate in such issues as the development of the bio-oriented economy, implementation of bioenergy projects, implementation of the reforms of green energy and Ukraine, implementation of the program of the renewable energy SDE+ and others.
