At the same time the Air Service does assert that the taken measures do not help penalty payments forward by the Russian airlines.

“They haven’t paid a penny yet,” the Air Service says.

Russia annexed Crimea in March 2014 after an illegal referendum, whose results were never recognized neither by Ukraine, nor by the world community. Russian authorities believes that the Russian sovereignty is applicable to the territory of the peninsula.
