Ukraine selects the Russian gas and poses it as the European but with markup according to Dusseldorf+ formula as Viktor Medvedchuk, the Chairman of Opposition platform – For life reported during the broadcasting of 112 Ukraine.
“They just connected the scheme or the gas pipeline near Velke Kapusany. From one side, from the side of Ukraine, there is a counter, which spots that gas left Ukraine and from the other side of this circle, and it is a real circle in fact; the counter is situated at the entrance to the EU state. The gas is seamed in such way; it begins to move along this circle to show at the Ukrainian counter that the gas left the country and entered the EU. What does happen in fact? This gas, which we supposedly purchase from the European gas operators, does not come to Europe because or gas pipeline works in aversion regime. And the reverse is needed to return the gas. As you understand, the simultaneous processes of aversion and reverse are impossible. So, our people should be considered as complete idiots, when they say that the gas comes from Europe and it is the European gas,” Medvedchuk said.
“What does take place? The gas came from Russia to the territory of Ukraine and, as I said, disappeared in the gas transporting system. And this gas, which aims for the European operators, used here as the imported gas. With the markup according to Dusseldorf+ formula; with the incomes of the business-structures, which tied with the authority, which earn along with it, and impose the responsibility at our citizens through impossibly high tariffs; it stays and it is used here. According to the document, the gas went through this circle near Velke Kapusany and passed two counters: it left Ukraine and entered EU. According to the documents, it was noted, written off as it went to Europe but in fact, it returned to Ukraine. The volume that we bought as import. We bought 10.3 billion last year,” he added.
Earlier, Viktor Medvedchuk noted that Ukraine buys Russian gas according to the Düsseldorf+ formula and due to this, gas price is too high for the consumer. He also believes that the only way Ukraine can preserve its gas transmission system is by creation of a gas transmission consortium.
As we reported the delegation of Opposition platform – For Life, the pro-Russian political party headed by the chairman of political council Viktor Medvedchuk and presidential candidate Yuriy Boyko held talks on a number of economic issues with the Prime Minister of Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev and Gazprom head Alexey Miller.
Later it was stated that Russia’s Gazprom is ready to hold direct negotiations on the concluding of a new contract for the Russian gas supply to the Ukrainian market.
