Ukraine became the biggest importer of Russian meat and beer because of the deliveries to Donbas. This was reported by Vedomosti agency.
Almost 30% of all Russian export of meat and beer goes to Ukraine, according to the Federal Migration Service of Russian Federation (FMS).
Beer supplies increased by one and a half over the year – up to 38,46 million dekaliters, according to FMS statistics. 48 thousand tons of meat was also exported from Russia to Ukraine in 2016.
Russian goods are delivered to the so-called “LPR” and “DPR”, reports Vedomosti agency, referring to the sources in Russian trade and manufacturing companies. At the same time, the receivers of all exported over the past two years goods to Ukraine appear to be the companies of Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
The employees of retail chains in Donbas confirm import of products of all major manufacturers from Russia to the so-called "DPR" and "LPR".
At the same time, Russian manufacturers “either assure that they do not sell anything, or refuse to discuss this issue,” the agency reports.
Earlier it was reported that "DPR" limited import of products for citizens from Ukrainian side, according to OSCE. Every citizen can not bring more than 50 kg of products in the areas controlled by "DPR".
