Ukraine and Russian Gazprom signed the settlement agreement on the international arbitration in the case of the commitments of Gazprom to pay about $7,4 billion of a fine of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine as Deputy Justice Minister Ivan Lishchyna reported on Facebook.

“Ukraine and Gazprom signed the settlement agreement on the investment arbitration. I cannot reveal the details of the agreement as it is confidential, but, it is important that Russia withdraws its demand and we do not violate our rule not to conclude the settlement agreements in the investment arbitrations where Ukraine had to pay investors some compensations,” Lishchyna wrote.

He noted that the signing of the agreement opens the way for the conclusion of the long-term agreements for the transportation of the gas between Naftogaz and Gazprom.

He illustrated his post with the signs of the sides. Minister Denys Malyuska signed from the side of Ukraine, Deputy Head Olena Burmistrova signed the document from the Russian side.

Earlier we reported that Ukrainian and Russian sides completed negotiations on gas transit in Vienna.
