Ukraine prepares tit-for-tat measures against Russian aggression in Kerch Strait

Ukraine is making a decision on the possibility of the tit-for-tat measures against the seizure of the Ukrainian ships and sailors by the Russian Federation. Ihor Huskov, the Head of SBU Apparatus made such statement as 112 Ukraine reported.

“Concerning the tit-for-tat measures, yes, the decision is making on the holding of the proper measures against the actions of the Russian aggressor,” he said.

As we reported earlier, the coast guard ships of the Russian Navy acted aggressively against the ships of the Ukrainian Navy, which have been carrying out a scheduled transition from Odesa port to Mariupol port in the Sea of Azov.   

Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian sailors, arrested by the Russian special force fighters in Kerch Strait, were transferred from Simferopol detention centre in the occupied Crimea.

It was also reported that Ukrainian sailors detained in Kerch Strait were transferred from annexed Crimea to Moscow prison. In his turn, Deputy Prosecutor of Crimea Ihor Ponochovny could not confirm the information of the lawyer to 112 Ukraine and claimed that it was not verified yet.
