Ukrainian pharmacological Lekhhim company plans to start the production of vaccine against Covid-19 developed by Chinese Sinovac Biotech Company in 2022 as Babel reported citing Head of Lekhhim supervisory board Valery Pechayev.
According to Pechayev, Lekhhim and Sinovac have already concluded a memorandum on the cooperation for production of vaccine on technology of the Chinese company. The Ukrainian company plans to start the production of vaccines in the second half of 2022. It will be the Sinovac vaccine produced by Lekhhim. It will supply the developed of Sinovac for vaccination of the Ukrainian population from coronavirus in 2021.
Any of the vaccines against coronavirus is produced in Ukraine.
Earlier, Health Minister of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov stated that Ukraine should receive the first batches of vaccine against coronavirus this February. According to him, Ukraine has signed the first contract for the supply of 1.9 million doses of coronavirus vaccine with the Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinovac Biotech, one of the largest vaccine manufacturers in the world. In addition, the government is in talks with other companies, which are almost over. At the moment, the technical process of agreeing the contract itself is ongoing.
